Camino Diary: Walking The Camino Francais Day Four

DAY FOUR: 12 October 2012 from Larrasoana to PamplonaIMAG0696And it is a bumpity walk into Pamplona and the first major urban miasma on the Camino. A fascinating experience to transition from the serenity of nature to the cacophony of the city one step at a time and experience the fusion of these two energies. The bridge in Irotz is noted for its graffiti; many blogs comment on the aggressiveness of the Basque slogans but my eye was completely captivated by this heart with wings to fly and a crown of sovereignty. A beautiful blend of urban rebel and heavenly sprite . I was looking forward to Pamplona; the raucousness of bull running, the chaotic nostalgia of Hemingway and not least the hope for a little TLC at the Apple Store for my iPad; inadvertently dropped on its head in St Jean de Pied a Port I was left carrying a gnarly lump of guilt in my heart and my comatose metallic friend in my backpack.
